RED SATURDAYS (TP)

About this event

RED BALL PROGRAM

RED BALL players "play to learn" rather than "learn to play". We want to instill a love for the sport while teaching athletic skills and proper fundamentals using smaller courts, racquets and slower balls for a greater chance of being successful.

Details: Age: 5-9 and Under Ball type: Red Ball Court size: 36’ court

JUNIOR REGISTRATION FEE: New Players are required to pay $30 Junior Registration fee for Fall and Spring programs. Invoice will be sent to new players.

Objectives:

correct foundation to advance through the developmental pathway

focus on improving hand eye coordination, upper and lower body coordination by linking the arms, hands, and feet through a series of movements, games, and exercises, overall athletic ability, establishing the correct grips, swing patterns, and basic scoring

learning to work together with other players so they can begin to rally and control the ball

We recommend 30min private or semi-private lessons a week in additional to group clinics to speed up the developmental process.

COMPETENCIES:

Competencies are specific skills which players should be able to do before moving up to the next level. Each Player is different and will progress at different speeds. Age is only one of many other factors that determine how quickly a player moves from one level to another.

Competencies are in progressions as followed: PRE-RALLY PLAYER> RED PLAYER 03> RED PLAYER 02> RED PLAYER 01
