Red Ball Developmental, Ages 5-7

About this event

Welcome to the RKRTC Junior Development Program. We will provide a “fun-learning combination” experience for your child. We have worked on creating an environment where students can positively develop their tennis skills while sharing the learning experience with others. We are sensitive to individual needs and hope to contribute to your child’s growth as a tennis player and person.

I encourage you to provide emotional support and welcome any insight into your child’s personality traits and feelings. I will be happy to talk with you and answer any questions.

RED BALL DEVELOPMENTAL : Little or no previous instruction. Developing racquet handling and footwork skills on a 36’x18’ court, playing with a low-compression Red ball.

The group must have a minimum of 4 students registered and a maximum of 8. If there are 3 students, the class will be 45 minutes.

Please read the following tips and guidelines to prepare for your tennis lessons.

Bring a racquet or use a demo from the pro shop. You can buy a racquet through the pro shop.

Bring a bottle of water.

Wear non-marking shoes. Cross-trainers are okay. Running shoes mark up the court and don't provide lateral support (needed when playing tennis).

Park on Alii Drive above the courts or on Kahakai Road below the courts along the white curb or gravel area.

Bring a POSITIVE ATTITUDE & HAVE FUN!
