Outdoor Group Play: Intermediate [3.00-3.49] (optional Challenge Court)

About this event

A recreational event for intermediate (self-rated 3.00 - 3.49) level players - optional Challenge Court

Participants are expected to "mix it up" and play with all the others in a group play environment.

With the exception of the challenge court, game winners generally stay on the court and split up (i.e. one each side). Two new players then join the court; one each side.

Don't be a court hog - after three successive wins, please join the paddle drop if others are waiting to play. The Challenge Court rules are different - see below.

Other players in this event have registered to play; not to teach you.

Out of courtesy to other registrants, please do not sign up if you do not realistically meet the designated skill level for this event.

Challenge Court Operation:

The highest court number assigned to this event shall be designated as the challenge court. The challenge court is intended for doubles partners; you must have your partner with you when you decide to enter the fray. You do not need to register for this event with a partner, but may simply team up with another registered player.

The winning team must stay together as a pair and continue to defend their title until defeated or choosing to retire.

The next-up challenging team must be ready to play when any current match on the challenge court has ended; a paddle drop (specifically for the challenge court) may be used if necessary.

Challengers who are not ready to play when the challenge court becomes available shall forfeit…
