Ruler of the Court - Beginners
Ruler of the Court - Beginners at Rio Grande Winery on Sat, Dec 5, 2026 at 9:00 AM. $10. Register online with CourtReserve.
About this event
This tournament follows Ruler of the Court format (often called "King of the Court", or "Up and Down the Ladder or River").
Four players of similar levels are placed on each court; Courts 1-4. Following each game, the winners "move up" toward the "Royal Court" which, in this case, is Court 1. The losing team "moves down" a court. When teams move up or down, the two players split up in order that they do not continue to play together. This procedure is followed repeatedly, without a specific number of rounds. The tournament ends at the scheduled time of tournament completion. Winners are determined by a combination of players who end up at the Royal Court, and total points.
Further details regarding rules and procedure will be provided on tournament day.
Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners, at the very least.
