QUEEN’S COURT

About this event

Queen’s Court is a round robin type play in which players attempt to win games to ascend and stay on the Queen’s Court. This game can accommodate up to 32 players. Players will sign up on Court Reserve for play on Thursdays. Players will be randomly assigned a partner and a starting court.

One of the courts is designated as the Queen’s Court and games played on this court are to 11, win by one. All other courts will play until the winner of the game on the designated Queen’s Court is determined. The players on Queen’s Court will call out to the other courts to notify them of the end of the match. Any games at a tie in the other courts will continue to play until the tie is broken.

After each match, partners will split and each player will play with a new partner. Court Rotation during play will be as follows:

Winner on Queen’s Court – Split Partners and remain on Queen’s Court

Losers on Queen’s Court – Split Partners and drop to the lowest designated court.

Winner on all other courts – Split Partners and move up one court

Losers on all other courts – Split Partners and STAY on the same court.

The object of the game is to ascend all the way to Queen’s Court and remain as Queen, however this format allows all the opportunity to meet and play with a range of players.
