2024 was a year of milestones, innovation, and growth here at CourtReserve.

Big ideas turned into real solutions, and each accomplishment was driven by one goal: to help clubs streamline their operations while growing the sport we love.

But we didn’t do it alone. Every step of the way, we were fueled by the dedication of our incredible teams and the unwavering support of our loyal customers. Together, we celebrated wins, tackled challenges, and built momentum to keep improving and growing far into the future.

From new product launches to meaningful achievements, here’s a look at the 12 highlights that defined 2024 for us and set the stage for an exciting future.

1. CourtReserve turned 8

This past August, CourtReserve celebrated its 8th anniversary – a milestone that marks much more than just the passing of time. What began in 2016 as a passion project driven by a love for tennis and pickleball has grown into a solution that supports thousands of clubs and millions of players worldwide.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come and even more excited for what’s ahead as we continue to innovate and grow together.

2. Launched the Branded Mobile App 

The Branded Mobile App feature offers all the functionality of the standard CourtReserve mobile app – allowing users to book courts, schedule lessons, register for events, process payments, and so on. However, the Branded Mobile App takes it to the next level by displaying your club’s branding front and center.

From club logo to brand colors and more, this feature helps you reinforce your club’s identity at every digital touchpoint. The result? A modern, user-friendly experience that not only simplifies operations – but also strengthens the connection between your club and members.

3. Announced Catalyst: The Invited Tour 

November 2024 brought exciting news with the announcement of CourtReserve Catalyst: The Invited Tour – our reimagined user conference designed to bring expert training directly to you, our customers. 

In partnership with Invited, each event offers hands-on training, live product demonstrations, and tailored support to help clubs get the most out of their CourtReserve system. Attendees will also be able to connect with industry peers, exchange best practices, and discover new ways to elevate operations and member satisfaction.

The tour kicks off this December, with more stops planned for 2025. We hope to see you along the way!

4. Achieved a 95% CSAT score

This year, we achieved and maintained a 95.21% Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) score – placing us in the top 2% of B2B SaaS companies. And this means, we also significantly exceeded the industry benchmark of 76%

This noteworthy milestone represents our unwavering commitment to deliver top-tier support and solutions according to all our customers’ needs. It’s also a testament to our customer-first approach and dedication to helping clubs succeed.

Whether you need help with onboarding, team training, or setting up a new feature, we’re always here to help – no matter what stage you’re at.

5. Unveiled GoTab Integration 

In October, we introduced our latest integration with GoTab – a leading food & beverage hospitality POS system. This integration merges facility scheduling and point-of-sale capabilities – all within your CourtReserve platforms.

For your members, this allows them to charge food & beverage purchases directly to their CourtReserve accounts – streamlining payments and enhancing their experience. 

And for administrators, the GoTab integration allows you to manage reservations, memberships, and food & beverage transactions. In fact, you can track all GoTab transactions in CourtReserve, which gives you a comprehensive view of all financial activities. Admins can also customize settings, such as requiring payment profiles or restricting suspended members from making charges.

By combining scheduling and point-of-sale features, this collaboration offers a complete solution that boosts efficiency and ensures smooth operations for clubs and their members.

6. Attended 35+ industry events 

CourtReserve attended over 35 trade shows and conferences across more than 20 states this year. This included events such as:

  • Pickleball Minds
  • Picklecon
  • World Pickleball Convention
  • NRPA Annual Conference
  • National Tennis Congress Trade Show

These events offered valuable opportunities to connect with club professionals, exchange ideas, and demonstrate how CourtReserve transforms club management. We were thrilled to meet and connect with current users, industry leaders, facility managers, and fellow pickleball enthusiasts. This is what keeps us connected to the industry and at the forefront of innovation – ensuring we deliver solutions that truly make an impact.

7. Grew our customer base to 1,600 clubs – and counting!

1,600 clubs now trust CourtReserve to help them manage and streamline their operations. 

For us, this milestone isn’t about the number, but rather the meaningful partnerships we’ve built along the way. Every new customer brings unique insights, goals, and opportunities to improve – inspiring us to keep innovating and developing our platform to be the best version possible.

We’re incredibly grateful to our customers for trusting us as their club management provider. It’s an honor to be part of the growing racquet sports community, and we’re excited to continue supporting its growth and success.

8. Introduced Spark webinar series

The Spark webinar series commenced this year – providing tennis and pickleball clubs with hands-on training, actionable strategies, and upskilling opportunities. So, you can optimize your CourtReserve account and get the most out of the platform.

We have webinars on:

  • Front desk operations
  • Packages & punchcards
  • Events & programming
  • Member portal
  • Customizing settings
  • Point-of-sale
  • GoTab integration and more!

You can join these webinars from any device – meaning you can participate from anywhere. And since we upload all recordings, you can watch any webinars you miss on your schedule.

9. Released Account Credits feature

One of our recent feature updates, Account Credits, was released in October and improves how clubs manage payments in CourtReserve.

Previously, all transactions automatically used available member credits to cover fees. While functional, this system left little room for flexibility or control.

With the update, payments are now split into two distinct fields: Amount Due and Account Credits. By default, credits are automatically applied to unpaid fees, but admins can now control this behavior with a simple toggle in the settings. So, you can choose to stop automatic applications if you prefer manual oversight.

This update gives administrators greater control and flexibility over how member credits are used – making transactions smoother and more transparent for everyone involved. Members also benefit from improved visibility, which gives them a clear understanding of their credits and payments.

10. Updated pricing plans

To better meet the needs of clubs at every stage of growth, we revamped our pricing plans.

CourtReserve currently offers four plans: Start, Grow, Scale, and Enterprise. These offer greater flexibility and scalability – ensuring every club finds the right fit.

A key modification is the inclusion of unlimited courts, memberships, and instructors across all subscriptions – granting clubs the freedom to expand without added costs. On top of that, the Branded Mobile App is now available on Scale and Enterprise plans!

11. Shared inspiring customer success stories

This year, we collaborated with our customers and partners to showcase how clubs of all sizes tackle operational challenges and achieve extraordinary results using CourtReserve.

Across the board, clubs reported increased success, improved efficiency, boosted program engagement, enhanced member experience, and more.

One standout example is Old Coast Pickleball. This club achieved 100% member retention and increased operational efficiency by leveraging the DUPR and CourtReserve integration. 

Another customer, HJK Ventures at Balboa Tennis Club, used CourtReserve to automate tasks and streamline the player experience. And as a result, they saved over 500 hours on “time-killing” tasks and increased program participation by 111%

12. Published Ultimate Buyer’s Guide

The Ultimate Buyer’s Guide is a comprehensive resource designed to assist clubs in selecting the best court reservation software for their needs. 

It covers all the essential features to consider, such as online booking systems, member management tools, and payment processing capabilities. And, it offers practical advice on evaluating software options, understanding pricing structures, and implementing new systems effectively. 

By providing this in-depth information, we aim to empower club administrators to make informed decisions and find a system that works for both their staff and members.

In case you missed it… 

With so much happening this year, it’s easy to miss a few updates along the way. Here are five bite-sized tidbits from 2024 that you won’t want to overlook!

1. Old Coast Pickleball opened

Founded by CourtReserve Co-Founders Tim and Ashley Owens, Old Coast Pickleball opened its doors in St. Augustine, Florida, in April 2024. With plans for a 12-court expansion in 2025, the club is quickly becoming a vibrant hub for pickleball enthusiasts in the coastal community. 

2. Delivered Advanced Email Builder feature 

The Advanced Email Editor gives clubs a powerful tool to easily create customized emails. Featuring a drag-and-drop interface and advanced formatting options, it’s perfect for crafting newsletters or announcements. And, the Basic Editor remains available to users – offering flexibility to suit any communication and work style.

3. Provided software comparison resource

To assist those searching for court reservation software, we compiled an in-depth comparison of 12 industry-leading platforms. This resource evaluates each solution’s unique features and considerations – encouraging clubs to find a platform that complements their day-to-day operations and long-term goals.

4. Upgraded account security features 

We enhanced account security by introducing two-factor authentication (2FA) for all system users. Clubs can now require users to verify their identity with a secure code sent via email. This adds an extra layer of protection and ensures that sensitive data stays safe.

5. Featured on Selkirk TV

CourtReserve Co-Founder Ashley Owens appeared on Selkirk TV to share her journey into pickleball and discuss the role of technology in the sport’s growth. She explored how CourtReserve supports clubs, her experience opening a pickleball facility, and the future of innovation in pickleball – offering insights into its evolving demographics and exciting potential.
