Public Booking is CourtReserve’s newest growth tool — a dedicated link that opens your courts and events to the public instantly.
With Public Booking, players can view availability and reserve courts and register for events in seconds — no app download, no account creation, and no membership required. The experience is designed specifically for public users, making it easier than ever for new and first-time players to engage with your club.
Most importantly, clubs stay fully in control of their existing pricing, rules, and availability, making it easy to open bookings to new players without changing how your club operates.
Public Booking is available to eligible CourtReserve customers in the United States and Canada with an active payment processor and can be enabled directly from the admin panel. See how: Public Booking: Setup Guide and Overview.
When they’re ready to play, don’t slow them down
If a player has to download an app, create an account, or meet a membership requirement before they can reserve a court, they’re far more likely to drop off.
Public Booking eliminates those obstacles by giving players a simple, public booking flow that’s fast and easy to use. Availability is clearly displayed, and booking is a straightforward process, requiring only a few steps with no account creation, login, app download, or membership needed.
The result is a booking process that feels friction-free and intuitive — exactly what players expect when they’re ready to reserve or register.
“Public booking is too easy. We underestimated how many visitors wanted to book a court instantly. No calls, no accounts, no apps. Just quick bookings and fast revenue.”
– Devan Egan, Owner, Club Pickleball USA

Turn demand into paid court time
Public Booking is built to help you grow by increasing your club’s discoverability and converting demand into instant, paid bookings.
Once enabled, your club receives a dedicated Public Booking link that you can share across the channels you already use, including your:
- Website
- Social media
- Email campaigns
- Marketing materials
- Referrals
- QR codes
So wherever players find you, they can view availability and book immediately from any device, creating a direct path from discovery to revenue.
That connection helps your marketing and referrals drive real results, turning more first-time visitors into paying guests and improving ROI from every campaign.
“From day one, we saw results with new clientele for court reservations and events. It removed all friction and allowed new players to book on impulse.”
– Christy Howden, Co-Owner, Wolverine Pickleball

Generate more player revenue without more work
Public Booking helps clubs increase revenue and booking volume by opening access to non-members, without adding extra overhead.
In the first 30 days of rollout, some clubs generated up to $1,000 in additional booking revenue through Public Booking alone. At one facility, Public Booking accounted for up to 13% of total court reservations, helping fill courts without changing member behavior.
Even when Public Booking represented just 1–2% of total reservations, clubs still saw hundreds of dollars in new booking revenue.
And the best part is — clubs didn’t have to add more admin work to get those results.
Visitors can reserve courts on their own, eliminating the need for staff-assisted scheduling or back-and-forth coordination. That means you can:
- Fill unused court time
- Convert drop-ins into paying guests
- Capture revenue from visitors instantly
More bookings. More paid court time. More event participation with less staff involvement. That’s what makes Public Booking such a powerful growth tool for racquet clubs.
“Public Booking removed friction and immediately increased registrations and revenue.”
– Will Owens, General Manager, Old Coast Pickleball
Built for growth, protected by design
Without the right safeguards in place, opening bookings to the public can create real concerns for tennis, pickleball, padel, and multi-sport clubs – such as unpaid reservations, no-shows, and fraudulent bookings.
Public Booking is secure by default, with protections built directly into the flow, including:
- SMS verification
- Upfront payments
- Secure checkout
To prevent unpaid holds and last-minute no-shows, public users must complete checkout within 15 minutes to finalize their reservation. Any unpaid reservations or registrations are automatically canceled.
These features help protect revenue, reduce no-shows, and minimize fraudulent or abandoned bookings, allowing you to confidently open bookings to non-members.
“Public booking through CourtReserve delivered immediate impact, streamlined operations, and helped us grow faster and smarter.”
– Brett Drogmund, Founder, California Smash Pickleball

Open to the public. Fully in your club’s control.
Public Booking opens access to non-members without changing how your club operates. Behind the scenes, your pricing, rules, and scheduling structure remain in place.
Your club stays in full control of how Public Booking works. You decide whether public users can book reservations, events, or both, which courts, schedules, and programs are available, and how pricing, booking rules, and cancellation policies are applied.
You can require custom fields, set event restrictions, control member login visibility within the public flow, and customize confirmation pages and player-facing instructions — all while keeping your existing operational structure intact.
