USOP National Pickleball Center Selects CourtReserve as Official Club Management Software Partner

National Pickleball Center CourtReserve Partnership Announcement

CourtReserve is proud to announce a partnership with USOP National Pickleball Center (USOP NPC) in Naples, Florida, where CourtReserve now serves as the facility’s official club management software and chosen software partner.

USOP NPC, the year-round home of the US Open Pickleball Championships at East Naples Community Park, operates at a scale and pace few facilities can match. CourtReserve will support the day-to-day experience that keeps players moving, programming organized, and staff equipped to manage high-volume play.

USOP NPC has become a key destination in pickleball. It brings together everyday play, instruction, leagues, and tournaments in one place, and it’s a model for how large-format pickleball can run smoothly while still feeling welcoming.

A benchmark facility for pickleball

As pickleball grows, facilities need systems and processes that can handle demand without adding friction for players. USOP NPC is one of the clearest examples of that at scale.

At East Naples Community Park, the USOP National Pickleball Center includes 65 total courts, with 59 pickleball courts, 6 championship courts, and a teaching academy, all supporting daily programming and major events.

USOP NPC is also home to the US Open Pickleball Championships, one of the sport’s most visible annual events and a major draw for players and fans traveling to Naples.

A partnership focused on operations and player experience

USOP NPC operates in a high-volume environment. Courts are busy, player levels are managed throughout the day, and instruction runs alongside open play. When Executive Director Justin Romero arrived, he described being impressed by the constant activity and the number of players moving through the facility.

This partnership reflects a shared goal: make it easier for staff to manage daily operations so players can spend more time playing.

Supporting scale with check-in, level-based play, and integrations

USOP NPC uses an RFID check-in experience where members wear a branded bracelet, staff scan it at arrival, and players can be guided to the right courts based on level.

CourtReserve is excited to support USOP NPC with workflows that help streamline reservations, lessons, clinics, and day-to-day operations while keeping the experience simple for players.

Justin Romero, Executive Director, USOP National Pickleball Center:
“CourtReserve has a history of getting better every year. They listen, they’re open to feedback, and they work with you to find solutions that fit how your facility actually operates.”

Ashley Owens, Co-Founder, CourtReserve:
“USOP NPC is a reference point for pickleball facilities. Their team manages an incredible amount of play, programming, and instruction every day. We’re excited to support that work and help keep the focus on players and the experience on site.”

Hi friends, it’s Ashley with Courteserve
0:03
and I am so excited to be here at the
0:06
National Pickle Ball Center with my
0:08
friend Justin Romero. Justin,
0:11
congratulations.
0:13
This is such a beautiful facility. Tell
0:16
me a little bit about where you have
0:19
been in your career and how you got to
0:21
be the director of the National Pickle
0:23
Ball Center.
0:24
Thank you guys. Happy to be here.
0:25
Thanks, Ashley. A little bit about me. I
0:28
uh just had a passion for coaching and
0:29
teaching. I was fortunate to land a a
0:32
nice job at Ocean Reef Club in Keargo,
0:34
Florida. I was there for 13 years. I had
0:36
a really good mentor and just learned a
0:38
lot about the business. You know, the
0:40
last four years I was a director of
0:42
racket sports there. And uh I loved
0:44
pickleball. I started the pickleball
0:45
program at Ocean Reef and we’ve been
0:47
coming to the US Open here in Naples for
0:49
the past eight years with our
0:50
membership. I’ve been playing in the US
0:52
Open for the past eight years here. And
0:54
so I always had a tie to this place and
0:55
when the opportunity came up to head up
0:58
the National Pickleball Center as
0:59
executive director of pickleball, it was
1:01
an opportunity that I didn’t want to
1:02
miss. So that’s how I ended up here and
1:05
uh I’m looking forward to the ride.
1:07
So Justin, when you arrived here at the
1:10
National Pickle Ball Center in February,
1:12
tell us a little bit about your first
1:15
interactions with the courts and the
1:17
software and what was happening here
1:19
that you were excited to bring your spin
1:21
to. Well, the courts here, 65 courts, is
1:24
the largest facility in the in the
1:26
world. And when I first got here in
1:28
February, I was just shocked at the
1:29
amount of play. All 65 courts are being
1:31
used. A big queue of players waiting to
1:34
play. Um, they had a pretty good system
1:36
of how they got members in and put their
1:38
names on the board and members were
1:39
being shephered to the appropriate
1:40
courts uh for their level. And, you
1:43
know, I thought the system could be just
1:46
a little bit better with how we do some
1:47
of our court reservations and book
1:49
lessons and clinics. So, uh, you know,
1:51
we tied up, uh, with Court Reserve and,
1:53
you know, we’re we’re looking forward to
1:55
this partnership that we have. I know
1:57
Court Reserve is in a lot of great
1:58
places. Um, a lot of great clubs. I did
2:00
speak to them when I was at my previous
2:02
club as well. Uh, so, you know, the
2:05
history kind of speaks to itself on what
2:07
Court Reserve has done. Uh, with the
2:10
history, how they’ve gotten better over
2:11
the years. No one starts off 100%, you
2:13
know, ready to go. And that just goes to
2:15
show that what kind of company and what
2:17
kind of business that uh, Court Reserve
2:18
is running. um they always want to get
2:20
better and still there’s a knowledge
2:21
base on there that and tips that if you
2:23
think something can do better they’re
2:25
open to it and you write them and then
2:27
they’re going to look into it and
2:28
hopefully come up with a nice solution
2:29
for uh you and your club. So I’m
2:33
assuming with such a large facility and
2:35
so many players from around the world
2:37
that come here and you’ve got snowbirds,
2:39
you know, seasonal and things like that,
2:41
you guys had to have some special
2:43
requests or some special things that we
2:46
as a company needed to support you with.
2:48
Can you talk about how that has gone?
2:51
Sure. One of the unique things that we
2:53
do here at the National Pickleball
2:54
Center is we have a RFID system. Uh when
2:57
members come in, they wear a bracelet
2:58
with our logo on it. We scan it and that
3:01
shows that they’re a member. It also
3:02
shows that are they on the appropriate
3:04
courts based on their level. Uh if not,
3:06
we can show them where to go. Um the
3:08
integration with a lot of club softwares
3:11
is not seamless. And with Core Reserve,
3:13
they have a great onboarding team. uh
3:15
via API we’re able to get some of the
3:18
data into court reserve and you know
3:20
they’re always lending a helping hand.
3:21
Uh we had an onboarding specialist that
3:23
came spent three days with us and uh you
3:25
know just taking care of all the things.
3:27
Nothing’s perfect at first but you know
3:29
they’ll find a solution and if uh they
3:31
can’t make it right then they they will
3:33
definitely try.
3:35
No, it’s great. It’s great. It’s great.
3:36
They make everything right no matter
3:38
what.
3:40
Justin, you guys hold so many different
3:43
types of tournaments and now I hear that
3:46
you’re starting a new academy. Talk to
3:48
us about some of the cool ideas that you
3:51
are bringing uh to breathe some new life
3:53
and new ideas into the National Pickle
3:55
Ball Center.
3:56
Naples, Florida is such a special place.
3:58
Uh who doesn’t want to be here? So, what
4:00
might as well have the hub of pickle
4:02
ball um be here in Naples, Florida at
4:04
the USOP National Pickleball Center.
4:06
We’re launching our US Open Pickle Ball
4:08
Academy this summer where high level
4:10
juniors are coming here to train. Highle
4:12
players, no matter what age, are coming
4:14
here to train. Uh we want to get the
4:16
level of pickle ball back to Naples,
4:19
Florida. Um I think there was a point in
4:21
time where it was here where a lot of
4:22
players came to train and now they’re in
4:24
other places. Um so we want to get the
4:27
level back here and just make it a fun,
4:29
enjoyable experience. Uh Naples, Collier
4:32
County is the special place to do it and
4:34
we’re happy to get that going because I
4:35
think there’s a market for it.
