What World Padel Rating (WPR) tells you about player skill levels
World Padel Rating (WPR) is an official rating system for padel play in the United States and Canada. It’s used in partnership with the United States Padel Association and Padel Association of Canada to support level-based play across both competitive and social settings.
Unlike a single rating that tries to capture everything, WPR tracks two separate numbers for every player:
- WPR Competition: A performance-based rating built from official match play.
- WPR Social: A rating built from informal and social games.
Each rating falls on a 00.00–21.00 scale (PDF) and includes a confidence level (High, Low, or None) tied to the player’s match history. In CourtReserve, that confidence level appears alongside the rating, giving your team a clearer picture of a player’s level and the match history behind that rating.
With separate Competition and Social ratings, your club can make more informed decisions about where players fit across different types of play.
How clubs & players can use WPR in CourtReserve
Once the integration is enabled, CourtReserve matches your members to WPR profiles using their email address and name. Linked players’ WPR ratings sync automatically and refresh daily to stay current.
Any custom padel ratings you already maintain in CourtReserve stay in place, with WPR ratings displayed alongside them on the member profile.
From there, both your team and your players can use them inside CourtReserve.
